Juice from the merlot vat is run off after 10 - 12 hours of skin contact, giving the beautiful colour, complex nose and intense fruitiness which characterises this clean and elegant wine. It is frequently the choice of Patricia Atkinson's fellow wine makers when they are entertained at Clos d'Yvigne on a hot summer's evening.
	The Clos d'Yvigne rose's colour is absolutely sensational - a flamboyant, ridiculously decadent pink, the nose of which is quite delicious - fresh raspberries and cream attacking the palate with a flourish, complimented by a delicious and crisp acidity. Comey & Barrow
